Vinfen Corporation of Connecticut issued the following announcement on July 8.

Vinfen’s Cove Clubhouse recently hosted their Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at the Club in Harwich Port, MA. Staff and members collectively prepared for the dinner and everyone couldn’t be happier with how the night unfolded.

Members thoroughly enjoyed the community atmosphere and having the opportunity to dine with loved ones and supporters of the Clubhouse. Each table at the Club was dressed in Italian inspired tablecloths along with fresh flowers to greet guests. “I loved seeing all my Cove Club friends there. They had a real rose at every table. The meal started with salad, then delicious spaghetti followed by dessert. Dessert was the choice of strawberry shortcake or chocolate mousse. My parents and family friend were present as well. We were served by the friendly staff and we all went home satisfied after eating the very special dinner,” shared Hugh, a person served by Vinfen.

Another member named Stephen noted, “I had a fun time at the Cove Club’s Spaghetti Dinner last week. I had spaghetti, meatballs with garlic bread, oolong tea, lemon water, and chocolate mousse!”

Cove Clubhouse Program Director Sabrina Kreber was pleased that the Clubhouse was able to provide a warm meal for attendees, all while raising money for Cove’s mission. “We raised about $700, which was one of the best fundraisers we have had,” stated Sabrina. Sabrina is enthusiastic that these funds will go directly to Cove’s art program, wellness initiatives, and their social program. Monetary contributions such as these have funded an expressive art teacher to visit the Clubhouse once a month, the rental of bikes or ice skates, or even admission to sporting events, museums, and movies. Without these funds members may not get the opportunity to have fun community building experiences. “The costs can be expensive, and some members wouldn’t be able to go otherwise,” explained Sabrina.

Cove Clubhouse would like to thank the community for their support. A special thank you to The Pastene Companies, Ltd for donating food items for the dinner, Shaw’s Harwich for the donation of fresh cut flowers, to Blue Rock Resort in Yarmouth, MA for the donation of a gift certificate for the prize drawing, and to all the ticket purchasers and attendees for your generosity.
