Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut issued the following announcement on Nov. 29.
Thanks to a grant from the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT, UCFS invites parents, youth, professionals, and community members to a presentation about how to use social media responsibly, the dangers of social media, and the role of social media in human trafficking.
This eye-opening event will be presented by Tom Pincince, a social media expert, and Julie Adams, a licensed professional counselor at UCFS who specializes in human trafficking issues. Everyone can benefit from this presentation, including children and teens, parents and families or professionals working with children, teens, and families.
“The Power of Social Media” will occur on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 5 to 6:30pm in the Community Room at UCFS’ Edward and Mary Lord Family Health Center at 47 Town Street, Norwich. Please RSVP to Malyna Kettavong at firstname.lastname@example.org or 860-822-4750 by December 7th if you will be attending.
